This ROMAN PLASTER–a pre-tinted lime wash coating is from Ressource House of Paints and Wallpaper Design. Used in redecorating the NYC Poggenpohl Showroom in the Architectural & Design Building. The soft, slightly glossy finish, is well suited for many different types of interiors. Protected with a water-based wax that delicate its glazed appearance without excessive shine.
Introducing a specialty Roman plaster wall finish into the NYC Poggenpohl Showroom presented several challenges for the design and contracting team. The primary obstacle was ensuring compatibility between the pre-tinted lime wash coating from Ressource House of Paints and Wallpaper Design and the showroom’s existing architectural elements. Achieving a uniform application and desired finish across various surfaces required meticulous preparation and execution. Additionally, the selection of a water-based wax to protect the plaster while delicately enhancing its glazed appearance posed challenges in finding the right balance between durability and aesthetics. Overcoming these hurdles while meeting the showroom’s high standards of quality and design was imperative for the success of the project.

Thoroughly preparing the showroom walls by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure a smooth and even surface for the application of the Roman plaster finish.
