Gurri Interior Painting and Decor Shines at the New York Kips Bay Decor Show House
At Gurri Interior Painting and Decor, we are thrilled to announce our successful participation in the prestigious New York Kips Bay Decor Show House. This renowned event, which began in 1973, transforms a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology, while raising funds for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s after-school and enrichment programs. This year, the event is hosted at the iconic Upper East Side townhouse at 125 East 65th Street, designed by the prolific architect Charles Platt in 1904.
Our team at Gurri had the honor of working alongside acclaimed architect Alan Tanksley and the esteemed Eraris company to bring a stunning transformation to one of the rooms in this historic townhouse. We undertook a complete interior build, which included the installation of top-quality, trend-setting wallpaper. Our chosen design featured a luxurious gold color adorned with exquisite floral patterns, creating a vibrant yet sophisticated ambiance.
This year’s Show House, open to the public from May 2nd, 2024, not only showcases the latest in interior design but also supports the invaluable programs of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. President of the Board, James Druckman, emphasizes the dual purpose of the event, stating, “This annual celebration of design not only transforms spaces but also transforms lives, supporting the invaluable programs that empower and uplift the youth in our community.”

The gold floral wallpaper installation became a highlight, reflecting the grandeur of the early 20th-century townhouse while introducing contemporary trends.
